How it works:
I can give you a estimate over the phone or via email if you have the dimensions, as We work on a rate per sq meter or sq yard the estimate will allow for minor repairs,sanding and finishing with three coats of varnish. If the price quoted seems reasonable, I will then visit your home to look at the floor and discuss your thoughts, concerns and ideas for the project.I will then send you a written estimate or email you an estimate for the work. If you would like to go ahead I will give you a date on which we will hope to start your room. I do not charge for my estimates or advice.

What are the three distinct types of finishes?
1. Lacquer or Varnish - Today's finish of choice for home use. Formulated with either water and oil bases. Easy to clean. No need to use wax polishes nowadays and they can be re-coated without the necessity to sand down the surface.
2. Wax or Oil Finishes - Should be avoided in places where exccesive water and spilages can occur. Allows mainteance to be carried out in localized areas although needs to be frequently applied.
3. Acrylic - A water based finish, the most commonly used is produced by Bonachem, known for its durability although expensive to buy.
