Account Manager - Flavours - Home Based

A market leading global organisation operating in the fragrance and flavour sector are currently looking to recruit an Account Manager for their Flavours division.

The company is highly innovative and creative in their business approach and their real motivation is to develop the best flavours to ensure the success of their clients' products.

They are looking for an individual with proven experience in handling mature accounts and developing new business opportunities who will have the overall purpose of achieving a sales budget with the Flavour Division Business Strategy and Objectives.

Operating mainly from home you will be required to visit the company's Flavours Division HQ in Northamptonshire once a week as well as travelling throughout the UK to visit clients mainly focusing on the .

Working with the Commercial Support, Customer Services, Technical and Regulatory Affairs teams your main duties and responsibilities will include:

·Developing an in-depth understanding of the client base and building intimate relationships with existing and potential clients.
·Developing an in-depth knowledge of the market, segment, trends, potential, competitive activity, brands and private label to fully understand the competitive environment.
·Identify the potential business opportunities and establishing a sales plan, ensuring information is detailed in iPLAN.
·Creating the sales and expenditure budget to achieve the sales plan. Monitor/review Sales against Budget and update forecasts quarterly.
·Ensuring qualification of projects according to the Operational Philosophy Guidelines in order to ensure a fit with the overall Flavour Strategy. Record projects with a high level of quality into iCAM. Continually maintain the data within iCAM for the life of project.
·Presenting submissions to the client to win the brief and achieve the sales plan.
·Establishing a selling price using iCOL and managing price changes in line with the company Strategy.
·Leading internal customer teams to deliver outstanding service to the client.

To be considered for this opportunity you will hold a degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Marketing or a related subject. Strong commercial and marketing experience is essential along with proven experience in handling mature accounts and developing new business opportunities. Professional experience gained within an international environment/matrix organisation is necessary and you will need to demonstrate high levels of energy, drive and the ability to build consensus. Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills will also be accessed.

A full driving licence is necessary and you will also be ready to travel within the UK on a regular basis and occasionally to the company's HQ in Geneva.

Salary: Up to £50K basic + Company Car and other benefits + 20% bonus (dependent upon company and individual performance).
