Web Project/ Development Manager

Location: Camden Town, London
Remuneration: £30k - £50k per annum (bens: private health care, bike to work scheme and company shares scheme)

Based in the heart of Camden, Stream UK is a dynamic company with around 30 members of staff. As leaders in supplying the needs relating to internet and broadcast convergence, we are involved in all aspects of video delivery over the internet. The company is well positioned in the market and has an exceptionally good client base.

Role and responsibilities:
Reporting to the CTO your main responsibilities will be managing internal and external technical web development projects. The role will include responsibility for the internal team of developers (currently 7) and delivering projects to deadlines utilising a mix of internal and external resources.

You will be responsible for:
- Leading the internal team of developers
- Delivery of projects (typically video-based websites), including:
- Help with initial concept
- Wire-framing
- Timescales, resources and budget planning
- Meeting deadlines
- Finding and managing outsourcers and freelancers
- Maintaining expert awareness of current trends and solutions within the digital video marketplace
- Keeping abreast of new technologies and platforms and advising on these.

Skills, experience and personality:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in web development.
- A web programming background in scripting languages.
- Excellent understanding of general IT principles and IT infrastructure.
- Optimal project management skill with the ability to take a project from initial idea to launch and beyond.
- Capable of forming and motivating effective teams and leading them to success.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Enthusiastic, dynamic and able to innovate.
- Problem solver used to manufacturing solutions from parts.
