We are looking to further deepen our Microsoft development team with consultants with a passion for User Interface Development including all things Web 2.0 and Windows Presentation Foundation Technologies. This role provides the opportunity to work in a fast moving, creative and challenging environment with some great and well known brands. This person will typically be working as part of a multi-skilled Agile team including project management, creative, user experience experts, strategic and technical people.
The successful candidate should be able to
* bring passion, experience and energy to our team,

* assist in the full lifecycle of implementing cutting edge Web and Windows Client Applications,
* be involved in the architecting and construction of the Presentation, Business and Data layers,
* provide consultancy on Microsoft technologies
* take an active role in communities (internal interest groups) to assist in:
o working to improve Conchango's development service offerings and
o input into improving practices and procedures.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have commercial development experience specifically working on the client side of applications. Whilst specific design skills aren't required, an appreciation of good design for applications is beneficial.
Required skills
* A detailed understanding of the capabilities and limitations of emerging web technologies:
* AJAX Technologies & Frameworks
* JavaScript
* XHTML
* HTML DOM
* XML
* CSS 2.0 / Browser Specific Issues
* W3C / Browser Specific Bugs
* Good understanding of WC3A requirements
* Good knowledge of accessibility and usability
* Experience of Windows Presentation Foundation Technologies (XAML & WPF/e)
* Experience of "Classic" Windows UI Development
Desirable Skills
* Use of Microsoft Expression Tools
* Use of graphics packages such as Photoshop and Illustrator
* Appreciation of design and page layout
* Knowledge of Content Management applications
* Experience of .NET or Java development
* Understanding of Relational Databases (SQL Server 2000/2005, Oracle 8)
* Understanding of development methodologies and processes
* Experience of Agile software development methods
