Engagement Manager - Conchango
Job Summary
We are seeking Engagement Managers who have experience of successfully delivering innovative business change, preferably with significant exposure to technology and a track record of project delivery.
Our current projects span from the replacement of existing company intranets to the introduction of completely new e-commerce systems and marketplaces. We work across a wide range of delivery channels including intranet, internet, interactive TV, and wireless.
Duties and Responsibilities
As an Engagement Manager with Conchango you will be responsible for the creation and successful delivery of innovative projects with blue-chip UK and Global companies. You will have the ability to:
* Work with the dedicated sales team to identify and shape opportunities
* Win the trust and build relationships with senior client and partner executives (up to Director level)
* Motivate and lead project/programme teams made up of diverse resources
* Take ownership of successful delivery
* Play a significant part in shaping and driving Conchango's service offerings and strategy
Successful candidates will be leading Conchango engagement's in one or more blue-chip clients, typically with budgets in the £millions. Your role will include helping senior client management teams identify:
* How can the client use innovative solutions to deliver their business strategy?
* How can projects be shaped and delivered to meet the challenge?
* What is the right balance of Scope, Resources and Timetable for the Project?
* How will client, Conchango and partner teams work together?
Qualifications and Experience
Experience in a number of successful Business Change/IT projects (probably as a Project / Programme Manager) and a background that demonstrates creativity, drive and enthusiasm. Your skills are likely to include some or all of:
* Demonstrable leadership ability and potential
* Passion for innovative technologies and how they can be used to deliver business solutions
* Structured analysis and problem solving skills, including knowledge of delivery methodologies
* Experience of all stages of the project lifecycle (pre-sales to support and operations)
* Experience of facilitation and consulting
* The ability to deliver change including people, process and systems
* Project management experience including team coaching and mentoring
* Financial management experience
* Agile / Scrum
Industry specialist knowledge in one or more of the following industries:
* Retail
* Consumer Packaged Goods
* Financial Services
* Energy
Experience in one or more of the following areas would be advantageous:
* eCommerce
* Systems Integration
* Business Intelligence
* User Interaction Design
* Mobile/wireless business technology based solutions
As a highly regarded professional services firm we seek people with very strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to build relationships with senior client and partner personnel.
Travel throughout the UK is an integral part of the job, as you will be primarily working at customer sites and should expect this to be around 80% of your time. Therefore you must be able to drive and be happy to commute or work away from home during the week if the client site is not a commutable distance.
