Job Summary
Conchango, one of the UK's leading independent business and technology consultancies, is growing its Business Intelligence team. This team has an enviable track record in delivery to the biggest UK clients, winning the most prestigious awards and contributing to the BI and data integration community.
As a part of our expansion plans, we are looking for experienced Business Intelligence implementers with experience in delivering performance management solutions for blue chip organisations. This is an excellent opportunity to use and progress existing skills with one of the UK's leading independent consultancies, and will commence with in-depth involvement with Microsoft's PerformancePoint offering.

Duties and Responsibilities
* To become an knowledge expert in Microsoft PerformancePoint;
* Input into the Conchango best practice for BI and Performance Management projects;
* To participate in consulting and development teams to deliver business intelligence solutions, including:
o Some business analysis and facilitation;
o Data modelling based on business requirements, and optimisation of data models for front-end implementation;
o Implementation of a variety of analysis, forecasting and performance management tools, with a focus on Microsoft PerformancePoint;
o Communication with client and internal technical and business staff in technical and plain English language;
o Documentation of all work carried out (e.g. data models, configurations, and setup);
* Assistance in preparation of business intelligence project proposals, including client and vendor meetings.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
Mid to high-end solutions experience with competency in the following areas;
* Business Intelligence experience focused on delivering Performance Management solutions
* Knowledge of financial reporting, planning and management;
* Client facing and thinking strategically from client's perspective to deploy correct solutions.
Desirable Experience
Preference will be given to candidates who can also demonstrate knowledge and experience of any other Business Intelligence technologies, including any of the following:
* Existing Microsoft technologies including
o SQL Server Analysis Services;;
o ProClarity;
o Business Scorecard Manager;
o SharePoint 2007;
o Office 2007;
* Leading Performance Management technologies
o MIS (Infor/Systems Union);
o Hyperion;
o Oracle Financial Analyzer etc.;
* Leading Business Intelligence technologies
o BusinessObjects;
o MicroStrategy;
* Visio, ERwin or similar data modelling tools;
* Any mainstream RDBMS.
Required Competencies
* Ability and willingness to learn new technologies - candidates will be required to demonstrate how and to what level they have invested time and effort in understanding Microsoft's latest BI offerings;
* Good customer-facing skills, including good listening and communication skills;
