Biomass/Waste Technical Expert

We have an excellent opportunity for a candidate who has experience and knowledge of biomass / waste powered technologies to take a prominent role in the growth of the renewable business of an employee-owned management engineering and development consultancy.

Based in Brighton, the organisation has recently been recognised by the Sunday Times as one of the Top 20 Best Big Companies to work for. The Renewables / Low Carbon team is a growing sector and as the Biomass / Waste Technical Expert you will have project management responsibilities as well as assisting in business development, and will also support junior members of the team. As the Renewables/Low Carbon team grows the expectation is that the successful applicant will lead a biomass/waste powered energy technologies team.

Role:
- To take a prominent role in the development of the Renewables/Low Carbon Team's carbon advisory work
- To manage biomass / waste and other renewables, low carbon projects
- To participate in technical and carbon advisory projects assignments
- To promote technical and professional excellence
- To support team leader and team members

Responsibilities:
- To assist in business development
- To manage project teams
- To follow carbon market developments

Person Requirements:
- Educated to degree level, ideally Engineering, with project management experience
- Experience in project development / analysis of biomass/waste powered energy technologies
- Knowledge of biomass/waste powered technologies for energy generation
- Customer focus
- Excellent communication skills
- A team player

A competitive salary, circa £40 - £50k is being offered plus benefits in keeping with the company status as an International Engineering and Management Consultancy.
