Antique compact Weighing scales, shabby chic, decorative, rare

Shabby chic or high end antique decorative. Neatly sized cast iron white and gilt weighing scales.

Still surprisingly accurate although visually, size is everything. Contained within its small frame, the combination of classical ornament and one hundred years charmed distressing present the scale today, as more the decorative object, than the function working item.

Inscription reads, Salters " Compact " Weighing Machine No 216.

( Chrome mottle, still with good sheen. Face also heavily mottled and stained in places however all script clearly visibly. Maybe some re-touching of gilt work over the years ).
